There were a number of things that influenced and inspired me to write my debut novel, A Shadow in the Past<\/strong><\/span>. Here are some of them.<\/p>\n

Start with one spooky, derelict mansion…<\/p>\n

Add one ancient stone circle…<\/p>\n

The stone circle on Gordonsfield Farm<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Sprinkle in a narrow country lane…<\/p>\n

The lane leading to Weetshill mansion<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Lined with ghostly trees…<\/p>\n

Add a generous dollop of old graveyard…<\/p>\n

Mix well.<\/p>\n

Add characters…<\/p>\n

Let all the ingredients simmer then write, write some more, re-write, re-write some more.<\/p>\n
