Looking back at 2015…
In mid-June, I released my Children’s Chapter Book Tim’s Magic Christmas.
Blurb:
For Tim Frost, Christmas 2011 is a washout. No Santa. No presents. Nothing. His father lost his job when the mill closed and now the family is on the verge of losing their home.
A chance encounter with Nick Kringle, a modern-day Santa Claus teaches Tim that the greatest gift you receive is the gift of giving.
The book has been well received at the events I’ve attended since its release and the closer it got to Christmas the better things went.

A good year, Melanie, and thanks for hosting me on your blog. Wishing you much happiness and success in 2016!
Thank you, Rosemary. I wish you all the best for 2016 as well. And Happy Hogmanay to you and yours! 🙂
Yes, I would say releasing your book makes 2015 a pretty darn good year. 🙂
I hope to be able to say the same about 2016 for my book. The editing is moving along quite slowly, so time will tell… Trying to keep a positive attitude. :/
Happy New Year to you, Melanie!
Keep me in the loop with your book’s progress, Shawn. The editing can take time but then you want your book to be the best it can be so it’s worth the wait.
Yes, that’s what I keep telling myself. I do want my book to be well edited, but the lack of communication with my editor is frustrating and the amount of time it takes her to edit one chapter seems excessive… *sigh*. I’m trying to stay patient.
I will definitely keep you updated! Thanks for your support! 🙂
