The Pi Game!

No, the Pi Game has nothing to do with our little friend, Pi, nor the kind of pie you eat.

This is a fun game for the authors out there, and it somewhat relates to Pi in that it’s going to involve the third chapter and the fourteenth line of text on the page.

Here’s a sampling of line 14 in Chapter 3 of my books.

You get the idea.

And here’s our little buddy, Pi, who inspired me to come up with the “Pi Game.”

So enjoy the day and when you think of it, remember our little friend 3.14159.

Before I leave, here’s the link to the Pi Day post I shared last year.

I’ve shared some of my line fourteens from chapter three in my books. Leave a comment with yours. I’d love to see them. Just remember, keep the posts clean – at least PG13. 🙂

Happy Pi Day! #math #constant

If it’s March 14th, it must be Pi Day!

These first photos don’t have much to do with it being Pi Day but follow along with my ‘twisted’ logic, and you’ll see where I’m going with this.

On a trip to the UK in 2005, we travelled through Wales and came along this chambered tomb. Those are some huge boulders, I can tell you. See anything looking a little pi-ish?

Why don’t I outline what I see as our mathematical friend Pi in the picture? Does this make it easier to pick out our little buddy?

And finally, filled in, well sort of. See it better now?

and finally Pi itself.

I made this short video so you can see the transition from the first picture to the last.
