#AtoZChallenge – Zebra

zebra

A member of the horse family, the zebra is native to Africa. Unlike their ‘cousins’ horses and donkeys, zebras have never been domesticated.

In the news recently, a zebra got in on the selfie craze. You can see the photos at www.mirror.co.uk.

Did you know that the stripes on a zebra are unique to each animal?

  1. Hello Melanie, I was directed here by another blogger because we are both dong animals and we both did Yak! I don’t know how I missed your blog, I’ve tried to do all the WordPress ones. I think next year I’m going to suggest they ask people to put their blogs in different categories (ie animals/food/poetry/religion/gen fiction/books/fantasy etc, as it would be much easier to find blogs you are interested in! Liz http://www.lizbrownleepoet.com PS I couldn’t comment on Yak, it wouldn’t let me…

  2. Dear Melanie, I tried to comment just now – Yak wouldn’t let me, Zebra did let me but the comment disappeared, so I’m trying again on a different server! Another blogger sent me to see you as I have also been doing animals – and we both did a ‘Yak’. Hoping this will post this time… Liz

  3. I found your Yak comment lurking in my spam folder. All approved now. Will head over to your blog and see your #AtoZ animals.

  4. Your zebra comment ended up going into the queue for moderation. All is well now. Both your comments are now visible. 🙂

  5. Lovely animals. All those stripes make a person dizzy looking at them. I did not know that each one was unique. Now I’m wanting to study them to see the differences. 🙂

  6. I love zebras. I once did a painting of zebra stripes (just the stripes) which was a really interesting thing to do since the way they curve round the body is… gorgeous. Unfortunately I sold it, so I can’t look at it any more… but at least someone liked it 🙂
Well done for finishing your A to Z. Sorry I didn’t get here sooner.

  7. Did you take a photo of your zebra strip painting before you sold it? They are lovely animals. I popped by your blog and with your theme saw the thumbnails of your A to Z posts. Will pop back again to read them thoroughly.
