#AtoZChallenge – Aardvark

Aardvarks are native to Africa. They’re a medium-sized, nocturnal mammal with a long pig-like snout, which they use to sniff out food. Their diet consists of ants and termites, dug out of their hills using their sharp claws and powerful legs. Their digging ability is also used to create burrows to live in and raise their offspring.

  1. They’re such interesting creatures. I think I heard on the radio recently that they’re a very threatened species on the edge of extinction.

  2. They’re certainly an interesting looking animal for sure, Misha. I hope they’re not on the edge of extinction.

  3. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one, Elizabeth. Even in captivity. The only one I know I’ve seen was the cartoon and the stuffed animal – Arthur.

  4. The challenge certainly is diverse. I can’t get over how many people signed up for the challenge this year. It’s my second time but the first time I’ve gone with a theme.
