It has no fear of humans and will approach, however, it’s illegal for members of the public on Rottnest Island to handle the animals in any way. A$300 fine can be issued by the Rottnest Island Authority for doing so and prosecution of the offense can result in a fine of up to $2,000.

  1. What a cute little critter. In the video it’s smiling at us. Never heard of this one. It seems Australia has a lot of interesting animals.

  2. They certainly are! I didn’t now about them either until I began my research for the animal theme for my #AtoZChallenge posts.

  3. So adorable! Another animal I have never heard of. And, this one won’t attack if I cuddle it. I’ll be fined, and possibly prosecuted, but at least I won’t be killed. Lol
