Okay the picture didn’t turn out the greatest but it’s a mystic fire topaz in a sterling silver setting. Will try to get a better picture later.

Maybe take one with it in a ring box.
I was so frazzled last night that after I got my post written for my blog, I forgot to publish it! It wasn’t until I went to check for spam that I discovered it wasn’t there. Found it tucked away in drafts after I logged in so published it straight away.
I got the labels for my Writers’ Union contest entries printed and on envelopes, entry fee cheque written and everything is now ready to go. Will mail it on my way home from work tonight.
We got another dumping of snow last night. Not sure what time it started but had stopped when I was up with the dog around 3:00 this morning. Poor wee beggar’s ears are bothering him again. So get up with him, let him outside, medicate his ears and him when he came back in. He finally settled about 45 minutes later once the drugs kicked in.
Back to the snow. About six inches of the white stuff during this latest dump. Here are a couple of photos I took this morning with my BlackBerry. And lik the last time, I was out taking them in my PJs, slippers and sweater.

Well, I’ve not written a lot tonight but I have managed to expand one scene. Yeah me!
Well after making it home safe and sound, I’m cocooned in my favourite long sweater, slippers (hey wait…, I was taking pictures outdoors this morning in the same gear) with a Manhattan by my side.
Two transports (or lorries if you prefer) were jacknifed in the median on the way home. One of them was there this morning on the way to work andthe other was right there right behind him on the way home.
Brrr…
When you see the photos in this blog post, you’ll understand my comment in Groundhog Day where I said no self-respecting groundhog would venture out of his hole.

Hopefully, not the movie. Don’t need this day repeating itself over and over and over again. We’re in the midst of a major blizzard here today. No self-respecting groundhog would want to stick his head out of his hole this morning. And if he/she did, all that would be seen would be white… snow falling… snow blowing… just snow.
Happy February 1st! What happened to January? It’s hard to believe it’s come and gone already. I guess it’s true what they say about “time flies when you’re having fun”. Was I having fun? You bet! Energized, a writing goal to write every day an I’ve been able to stick to it.
Okay, I know, I know. It’s only been 31 days so far but I plan on sticking to it.
And while in a typing exercise, the fox jumped over the lazy dog, in this case the Quick Brown Fox is Brian Henry, workshop conductor extrordinaire.
After my most recent publication success and writing date with a couple of the gals in my local group, I e-mailed him with my news. It’s now posted on his blog under the heading “Love Letters”. Here’s the link… http://www.quick-brown-fox-canada.blogspot.com/
I have written today but at the same time tightened things up, and totally eliminated yet other stuff in an effort to round up any plot bunnies that are wanting to run amok in my manuscript. So far, I think I’ve got them under control but you never know when one of those “cute and fuzzy bunnies” will jump up and go “Na-na na-na boo-boo”… or worse.
And posting on my blog counts towards writing each day, too. It’s only e-mails that I’ve considered excluded from my regime.
