#AtoZChallenge – Leopard

The leopard is one of the five “big cats”. It is native to Africa, the Middle East and South Asia. It looks like the jaguar but is smaller and has been mistaken by times for the cheetah.

Leopards feature in heraldry and are on many coats of arms and flags.

In the film, Bringing Up Baby, “Baby” was a pet leopard.

  1. What a beautiful animal. There’s just something about the cat families that’s so elegant. I didn’t know about the leopard being on coats of arm and flags. Interesting.

  2. Wow, leopards (and other big cats) are so sleek and beautiful. They look so soft and inviting, but are so seriously dangerous!

I did not know that fact about the film Bringing Up Baby. Not sure how I missed watching that one!

  3. Thanks for stopping by, Susan. You have to see Bringing Up Baby. It’s a wonderful movie. And most, if not all of the big cats love water unlike our domestic felines.

  4. “I can’t give you anything but love, Baby”….:) I am not sure it would work on the leopard:) Their coats are beautiful-what a shame they were/are killed for them. They are so beautiful and sleek
